Lynnelle,
Ho, Ho, Ho and Happy Holidays!
As another year comes to a close the
topic of
this issue of the BOLD Bulletin is time. Using
your
time better, taking the time to sit and reflect, taking
the time to make the changes you need to make to
be more productive, taking the time to be with your
loved ones. One of my favorite quotes is by
the English poet and playwright, John Dryden:
"Time is the most valuable
coin in your life. You and you alone will determine
how that coin will be spent. Be careful that you don't
let other people spend it for you."
Those are
important words to live by and pretty difficult to
do
sometimes. But do so we must if we want to achieve
success - on our terms.
Thank you for your continued
support. I enjoy reaching out and touching
you via this e-zine. I invite you to contact me with
any comments or ideas you have about the BOLD
Bulletin or anything else you may want to share. If
you haven't already, check out my new blog page at
www.
BoldVisionBlog.com.
I'll look forward to hearing from you there!
I wish you and yours a very, very
Happy
Holiday and may your 2007 be your Best Year
Yet!
With Warm Regards,
Lynnelle

Ohio based Martinson-Nicholls is one of
3M's
largest
distributors of safety and specialty products and they
also distribute RejeX-it Non-Toxic Wildlife repellents.
While that doesn't sound very
sexy - it
really is - sort of. Especially for us up here in the
north where winter normally means snow and ice.
They have designed a very cool - I mean hot -
product. The heated floormat. With one of these
babies you never have to plow the front walk again!
Another great place for these mats is your
car or truck. Yes, heated car and truck floormats. I
don't know about the heater in your
vehicle, but my feet never warm up in
winter - regardless of the heater setting.
A
real entrepreneurial company - taking what they
did well and creating a way to do it differently
and better. That's what it's about.

| Effective Time Management-the Secret Word |
 |
|
No. Yes, n. o. NO.
As a
company
of one or perhaps only a few more than one, you
don't have the luxury of time. Someone told me
today that as a small business owner there are two,
and only two things that I should be concerned with:
- Getting a paying client.
- Serving a paying client.
That's it. Well, you and I both know
there are a million other things that have to get
done, but are any of them any more important than
the two listed above? No. Even so, let's face it -
there are a million other things you really do have to
do. So, how do you work your way through
everything faster?
There's a very simple
tool to move faster, to increase your
productivity. It
has to do with the things you decide NOT to do.

Business Planning 101 |
|
|
|
It's that time of year again. Have you
started your plan for '07? Do you know where to
begin?
To get started planning your business year,
the
first question I would ask is NOT about your
business, but about you. “What are your goals as an
individual? What do you want your life to be in the
future; 5, 10, 15+ years? From that vantage point
create your 2007 business plan by determining the
following:
- Where does your business need to go next year
to enable you to be where you want to be?
- What does your business need to look like?
- How much do you need the business to grow in
size and revenue?
- How many services / products do you need to sell
to do that?
One of the best books I’ve read for small
business
owners is E-Myth Revisited by
Michael Gerber. After
reading the book it finally hit home that my business
is a vehicle that will enable me to go and do what
and where I want in my life. My business isn’t my
goal; my life is my goal. My business will get me
there.
So, as you sit down to contemplate your
next 12
months ask yourself where you want your life to be.
Then figure out how your business will get
you there.
